If you are someone that don’t have access to the gym but still want to workout with dumbbells, then these are perfect for you. You won’t have to pay for different dumbbells sizes in order for you to change the weight in your exercises.

You can adjust the weights from 5 pounds to 52.5 pounds and you can increase/decrease the weights by 2.5 pounds when you need to.

I personally think the dumbbells are great since you can perform many different workouts followed by their own free mobile app AND their special DVD Bonus which comes with the dumbbells. However, something many people complain about is that some parts are made with plastic, but other than that the product is still pretty good.

I would recommend the product to people that don’t have access to a gym, that don’t want to pay for different sizes of dumbbells, and to people that simply want to have an easier set up for training.

This is another good model of adjustable dumbbells. If you prefer the blocky look on the dumbbells and you want something heavier than 50 pounds, then this is the right model for you.

The PowerBlock Elite, also supports decreasing/increasing the weight by 2.5 lbs. Each weight has two little bars inside the handle that weigh 2.5 lbs each, so depending on whether you have none, one, or both of those in the handle, the weight will change.

You don’t get a DVD bonus for this product, but you can still purchase the column stand that is made specifically for the dumbbells.

Also, if you don’t know any exercises you can do with the dumbbells, you can always search on the internet for dumbbell exercises or you can check out my posts here at Muscle Strategies.

Hello there, that’s a great idea for working out at home I was searching for dumbbells or bars to workout at home as the gym is expensive for me now, great post but I think the price is high for these set but still I like it and it will save time & effort as you can choose the weight easily by flipping the weight circle, thanks for recommending this adjustable dumbbell.

      Hey Tore,

Both dumbbells are great, but is up to you. Are you looking for a dumbbell that weighs 90 lbs or one that weighs 50 lbs? What design do you think looks better? etc.
I personally like the PowerBlock Elite (90 lbs) since it has what I need (90 lbs), and it lasts longer as well.

I really like these adjustable weights. It sure beats getting a set to work with and then having to continue to buy new weight sizes. I do go to the gym, but I also work out at home while watching TV, etc. So these are great! I cannot access any of the videos, they just don’t appear….just white space. Anyway, these are great and would take up so much less space than having a set for each weight. Thanks for sharing!

The videos sure works to other people, I got someone to test the videos and they said it worked just fine. Maybe try refreshing or uninstalling any extensions on your browser that are probably causing the problem.

Interesting products! I’ve seen these before but never gave them a second thought because I go to a commercial gym. But I do eventually want to have my own home gym and these look like they’ll come in very handy. Both seems to be good options so I’ll dig further into them!
