Before we start you should know something, losing fat is not going to happen overnight. It is a long progress, so be consistent and follow this step by step guide. It will make it a lot easier for you. Also, take notes as you read through this post. Now, what is the fastest way to lose belly fat?
Step 1: Set a Goal & Make a Plan
The first thing you need to think about is where are you right now? where do you want be? and how are you going to get there?
Set a specific goal and write it down. Your goal can’t be “lose weight”. It has to be specific, set something like “lose 15 lbs”. Once you are done setting your goal, you will have to write down a plan that will help
you achieve your goal.
There are several things you will need to write down on your notes as you read through the post:
- What days are your training days?
- What days are your reefed days? (I would recommend having reefed days once per week)
- How much calories will you be eating?
- How are your macros going to be set up?
Step 2: Calories & Macros
The second thing you need to do is to set up your calories and macros. Click here in my post related to that, it will show you exactly how to do it.
Step 3: Workout Plan
Once you have your calories and macros set up, you will need to find out your workout plan. Here is a simple plan you can use as a workout plan: Workout Plan for “How to Get Rid of Fat”.
I would suggest only training 3 days a week to get proper rest and recovery. I would also suggest walking around 30 minutes to 1 hour every day if possible. There is no need for cardio if you are eating on a caloric deficit (eating more than you burn) and walking everyday, so don’t stress too much about it.
Abs can be trained on rest days 2-3 times a week as well.
Step 4: Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent Fasting is optional, but if you apply this eating strategy into your lifestyle, the results will come faster and it will make dieting a lot easier as well. I highly recommend intermittent fasting if you are trying to lose weight.
Step 5: Take Action & Track Everything
Tracking is very important! So make sure you track the following:
- Your calories and macros
- How much you are lifting
- Your waist measurement
- Take a picture every week or month
- Your weigh
